For this last lesson on titles, I'd like to look at 3D text inside of the action module and connect effects. Inside of action is the only place in Smoke that we can create 3D text. And by that, I mean text that carries three dimensions. You are going to see, we have a formatting option inside of that 3D text that we don't have in our text tools which allows us to give that text depth. I am also going to show you how to take that 3D text and give it a texture using another clip. As we have already seen before in Smoke 2015, we do have action as an effect in the timeline. The reason I'm going to go into connect effects to do this is that feature I want to show you of using another clip as a surface. As I've mentioned before, the difference between action and the timeline and and action in connect effects is whether or not you can add additional media.
