- [Instructor] In a Slack workspace, every single person has a role, and each role has permissions. Workspace owners have the highest level of permissions. One of the workspace owners is called the primary owner, and it's usually the person who created the workspace. I am the primary owner of KinetEco. Only the primary workspace owner has the right to get rid of the workspace, to delete it. But other than deleting the workspace, other workspace owners have all the same abilities to control security that I have. And it's a good practice to have more than one workspace owner so that I can go on vacation, for example. A Slack workspace can be very large. So we also have workspace admins whose job is to manage members. Workspace admins can do basic maintenance tasks, and they can manage public channels. One way to divvy up the work of managing Slack is for the primary owner to make a couple of other people workspace owners…
