Set your status and availability

- [Gini] When you're using Slack, it's nice to be able to know if another member of your team is available right now, or if they're in a meeting, if they're out of the office, if they're elsewhere. In Slack, there are two different settings that are used to be able to let your colleagues know whether you are available and what it is you're doing. The first is availability. An availability is indicated by a circle next to the icon for your name. I'm going to look down here at Direct messages and show you that I have a green filled-in circle next to my icon. If I hover it, it says Active, notifications snoozed because there's a little z there on the icon. So I don't want to have notifications flying in right now because I'm busy. You'll note that Charles, for example, has notifications snoozed, but Charles is away, not available. And those are the two availabilities. Slack automatically sets your availability. You're…
