- [Instructor] Let's return to our Slack preferences Click on your workspace name, choose Preferences, and we're going to now look at Sidebar, then Messages & media. There are other sets of preferences and I trust you to spend some time with those as you continue working with Slack. Our sidebar on the left includes all unreads, all DMs, messages and reactions, saved items. If you would also like to have apps listed there directly or a file browser or the channel browser, you can add those items. Within each of the categories, for example, within Channels, items are sorted alphabetically. If you would prefer to have them sorted by most recent, then you can choose that and the channel you've used most recently would be at the top. I vastly prefer the third option to sort my channels alphabetically and leave them as a static list. But as I direct message with particular people to move them to the top of the list because…
