- [Instructor] Hi, I'm Oliver Schinkten, and thank you for joining me in this course, in which we'll learn how to use Skype. Skype is a powerful tool that allows you to communicate and collaborate with others. In this course, we'll be using the Skype desktop application for Windows, to explore some of the different features that are available. We'll take a look at how to set up your Skype account and profile. We'll explore the many ways that you can use Skype, including one on one and group video calls, screen sharing, instant messaging, video messaging, and the creation of Skype conversations.
We'll take a look at how you can set up your own Skype number, as well as purchase Skype credits to make international phone calls at very reasonable rates. We'll also take a look at some of the more advanced features on Skype, such as call forwarding, Skype translator, and Skype's discover bots. Hopefully, this course will empower you to be a confident Skype user, let's get started.
