Before initiating a Skype call, it is important to check your audio and video settings. Learn about navigating to your account options so you can check to see if your incoming and outgoing sound, as well as your video are working correctly in this video.
- [Instructor] Now before I make my first Skype video call,…I wanna make sure that my microphone, as well as my webcam,…are working properly.…You can do this by going up to the settings icon,…so up here at the three dots,…and then click on settings.…And this is something we've taken a look at…in a different video.…But if I click here on audio/video,…I can see that my camera is working, microphone's working,…(loud beeping)…and I can test the audio to see…that the speakers are working.…I'm going to go ahead and close this out.…And Skype has another great way that you can first do…a test call to make sure everything's working appropriately.…
Now you can do that by going to contacts,…and in here, by default,…you should have one titled Echo Sound Test Service.…If I click on this, and then make the call,…so I'm gonna go up here and click on audio call.…- [Woman] Hello, welcome to Skype Call Testing Service.…After the beep, please record a message.…Afterwards, your message will be played back to you. (dings)…- [Instructor] Testing, one, two, three. (loud ding)…
