The axis

- [Instructor] The red, green, and blue lines running through your drawing are the axes, and they are a very important part of drawing with SketchUp. The red and green axes run horizontally and are displayed along the ground plane. The blue axis runs vertically, straight up and down, your 3D model. And these all help keep your lines plumb and your corners at 90-degree angles when it's appropriate. We will see the axis utilized in the videos to come as we learn more tools, such as moving geometry along the axis as well as drawing geometry aligned with the axis. So keep an eye out for these different colors as you're drawing.
