- [Scott] Welcome to the SketchUp Pro: Dynamic Components course where we will be building a number of projects exploring what you can do to build intelligence into your components and make them easy to use and highly functional. I'll be using the Mac version of SketchUp and will point out any differences with the Windows version in terms of buttons on-screen and shortcut keys in the individual videos. You will need the Pro version of SketchUp for this course because it is required to author dynamic components. The free versions of SketchUp can use dynamic components that were authored in the Pro version, but they cannot create them, which is exactly what we will be doing in this course. So after you install the SketchUp Pro 30 day trial or paid commercial version, let's get started.
