- [Instructor] As well as being able to export and import scenes in the V-Ray scene format, something else that we can now do in SketchUp is make use of scenes and objects that have been saved in either the .vrmesh or .abc formats with the latter being the file extension for Alembic cache files. But still is the fact that we now no longer need to search for these files on storage media using time a wasting import and delete process in SketchUp as we can instead make use of an external program provided by Chaos Group called the V-Ray Mesh Viewer, an application that supports both static and animated V-Ray Mesh and Alembic file viewing. The executable for this is installed by default to the C:\Program Files\Chaos Group\V-Ray\ V-Ray for SketchUp\extension\tools folders. Once clicked, we are instantly presented with a choose VR Mesh dialogue, meaning all we need do is navigate to the folder or folders containing our VR Mesh files which in my case is the extra assets folder in the exercise…
