- [Instructor] What we want to do in this video is add a grass effect to the ground geometry sitting in our scene using the new to V-Ray for SketchUp 3 fur tool. Now as with some of the other options that we have already looked at, the V-Ray Fur button remains inactive until we have actually selected a piece of geometry in the scene to which it can be applied, which again, means using either a group or a component. Do be aware that the fur tool doesn't support either nested groups or nested components at the time of this recording and so again will stay grayed out if either of those options are selected. As our ground geometry is already set up as a group in the scene, all we need to do is select that and then either come to the V-Ray Objects toolbar and use the V-Ray Fur button that is now enabled, or we could also apply the fur effect through the Extensions menu.
