- [Instructor] As we are very obviously working with a completely new UI in version three of V-Ray for SketchUp, it seems appropriate to start our materials chapter with a quick overview of the materials section just so that we are clear on how everything is working. To take a look at this, we will of course need to open up the asset editor window. So let's come to the V-Ray for SketchUp toolbar, and click on the icon for that. By default, this should open up in the materials view, but if it doesn't, all we need do is click the materials icon, which is the very first option found on the toolbar that runs across the top. One of the most striking features found in the materials section of the new V-Ray for SketchUp interface is of course the shader ball preview that we can now work with, which even in its default state is an extremely useful addition to the material creation process.
