- [Instructor] When we work in Photoshop, there are many times when we'll need to select parts of our scene by material. And we can do that by creating one more layer in SketchUp that we can export into Photoshop. Now some people call this the color select layer. I like to call it the clown color layer because it's a lot of bright colors, much like a clown suit. But whatever you call it, basically just need to change all the materials to bright colors and then do an export. Now I'm working on a copy of my original image. You don't want to destroy your original SketchUp file, so always work on a copy, 'cause we are going to be changing materials here. So the first thing I want to do is make sure that shadows is off and then we want to go ahead and turn off edges as well. Then we need to go into our materials panel.
