Understand how materials typically stretch
- [Instructor] In this chapter, we're going to build a dynamic component of a fabric wrapped panel, and we'll build a user interface for it so the user can change the size of the individual panel and they can choose the number of panels that they want copied along a wall. One of the considerations that we have here is the material. We don't want the fabric which is wrapped around the panel to distort and be stretched when the panel grows wider. So this is where we're going to apply a creative solution to this problem. We're going to start this video from scratch, so I'd like to begin by drawing a wall that the panel will rest against. The wall won't be part of the dynamic component at all. It's just like a prop. So I'll go ahead and draw a rectangle here from the origin point over, and I'll make that 20 feet long by six inches wide. But the dimensions of the wall really don't matter.
