Section planes as an editing tool

- [George] Hi, I'm George Maestri, and today we're going to look at a way to use section planes to help with modeling. Now, here we have a simple building. This is an office building. And there are many times when you'll need to go inside the building, but you'll be working in kind of a confined space. So if I were to, say, take my camera and do a Zoom Window here and kind of zoom in on the inside of this, you'll see that, let's say I wanted to move this desk around, well, if I want to see where I'm moving it, as soon as I move my camera, you'll see I'm running into walls and floors and that sort of thing. And because of this confined space, it makes it very difficult to work. Well, a section plane can open up the building enough so that you can work a lot more easily. So I'm going to deselect this and just do a Zoom Extents so we can see the whole building. And let's go ahead and just do Tools, Section Plane, and drop that right on the roof. When I do, it brings up this section…
