Saving a custom template
- [Instructor] Whenever you create a new file in SketchUp, it is created with a template. So when I launch SketchUp, the new file that we see here was created with a default template, and evidently that template contains a human figure. And its style has a ground plane that shows the transition between the sky and the ground. Now, when we're designing the kitchen, we don't really need to see this transition between sky and earth, and we don't really need a human figure in there to begin with. So I'd like to eliminate these elements. And I'd also like to change the units that we're using to design the kitchen. So, to start off with, let's use the eraser tool and click on the human figure. And then go to the Window menu and choose Styles. In Windows, Styles is part of the default tray. It may have to be turned on under the Windows menu, default tray Styles. On the Select tab you'll see that this particular template contains a single Style. We'll need to edit that. Also here, you can…
