- [Instructor] When geometry is grouped, the bounding box will remain aligned with the global axis. In some cases, like with this angled box, it can be inconvenient for actions like scaling. To make this more efficient, I can use my Select tool and double-click into the group to reposition the group's axis. To do that, I'm going to right-click on the axis and choose Place. Now, I can reposition this axis to align with the geometry in the group. I'm going to click on an endpoint. Align it with an edge for the red axis. Do the same for the green. Click and release. And now I've repositioned the axis to be aligned with the geometry in the group. Now I can click out of the group. Now when I select the group, I am able to see the repositioned bounding box that is more efficient for scaling properly.
