- [Instructor] So that's it, that's the end of another series. I hope you've had as much fun making these bits and pieces as I've had helping you put them together. The important message really to take away is to understand and appreciate that sense of scale. When you're working on big projects or big objects far away, you don't need to go to this level of detail. It always pains me when I see my students wasting their valuable time on sort of unnecessary details. But if you are going to be in the field of design or architecture, then it's very important that even if you don't draw them or model them, you appreciate that they're there. But by making this lamp, we are entering the world of product design with much finer tolerances than we would have in architecture, let's say, but still, it should give you a good sense of what's possible using SketchUp.
