Nesting a group using the Outliner
- [Instructor] The Outliner is a great way to organize our 3D model. As I click on groups in the Outliner, they become selected in the model. And when I double-click on the groups using the Outliner window, they are now in edit mode in my model. So it's a great visual for editing and organizing the model, but it's also a great way to move around and nest groups or components inside of other groups and components. For example, you can see that I have organized my fireplace assembly into one larger group. If I click the down arrow, I can see that this group includes the fireplace stack and the hearth. But I would also like the mantle to be included in that larger group. So instead of copying and pasting that into the group or trying to use the paste in place function, I can simply click and drag this mantle into the FireplaceAssembly group. Now it is nested and more organized. So when you need to move groups within…
