- [Narrator] This week, I'm going to model a Greek vase from a photograph using the Bezier spline ruby script from Fredo6. I'm going to go now into the side view, so I'll use camera, standard views, front. And, I'll also view this in parallel projection mode, and then choose file, import, and change the format to all supported image types, and select the Greek pottery jpeg in the exercise files folder. Import that and you'll see this picture of the front view of a Greek vase. And what I'd like to do is take a little care in positioning it here. I'm going to place it right on the center line, and try to place it right there on the top of the red axis. Try to get it as close as you can just by eye. Double-click to place that image in. Now, I'd like to trace the profile of this vase. And, because I'm going to be tracing exactly over the profile, I don't want to use the classic or the herbs version, because those control points are going to be some distance away from the curve.
