Measuring roof pitch
- [Instructor] I'd like to give this living room vaulted ceilings, so I need to measure the pitch of the ceiling, and there are at least three ways I can do this. One way is to know the highest point and the lowest point and use guide points to measure those from the finished floor. So in this case, this corner right here is going to be my lowest point. And my highest point will be over here, on this wall. So I'll get me tape measure tool, hit the letter t for tape. And from this end point, click and release, and move right up that blue axis. And my highest point here is going to be 11 feet, so go ahead and type 11 feet, enter. And now I've created a guide point. Now I can use my line tool to fill in that geometry. L for line, click and release in this corner. And to my new guide point, click and release. And I'll fill in that shape, creating a triangle that I can push pull; p push pull. And pull across here.…
