Making the base arm profile

- Chapter 2 0 2 we're going to make the base arm profile. And this is a tricky one. And we've got to get it spot on. Otherwise things won't work out in a little bit later. So we'll just run through a couple of the bits that are important. And we'll flip over to the pdf to take a look at some of the key dimensions. So here we are. We're on page number 7 of the pdf. This is called the base arm. And we're creating this shape. Okay. Now a couple of things to point out, it kinks in at 70 mil. So it's 8 mil across, it's 355 mil from top to bottom. And then at the very top from 4 mil out, we've got it squared up again. And the important thing is we have 8 mil at that point, and 40 mil at this point. This ties in, then, with the rest of the bits and pieces that we're going to make. Okay, so this critical angle is 3.26 degrees. And hopefully, if we get this right, then everything will work out, all to within a couple of points of a millimeter at least. Okay, so let's go back to the sketch-up…
