Keyboard shortcut strategy

- [Instructor] This week I'm going to share with you my strategy for making SketchUp more efficient and that is by mapping keyboard shortcuts. I'm going to drag SketchUp over so that it only fills about half the screen and open up the Exercise Files folder. In here I've provided a couple of keyboard map files, both in PDF and TIFF formats. The PDF is for printing and I'm supplying the TIFF image because you can edit that in an image editor, such as Adobe Photoshop, and make any changes that you want to. I'm just going to open the PDF and show you what this looks like. So it's a map of the keyboard and we have various SketchUp functions mapped to these letters. So this is my own personal strategy and other people have different opinions about this. What I've done is to keep it as simple as possible by mapping the most commonly used commands, each one to a different letter. Other people tend to use modifier keys so that Rectangle might be R, but then Rotate might be Shift + R, for…
