Isolating your view of geometry within groups

- [Instructor] Sometimes it can be difficult to work on groups in our model because other geometry is in the way. The geometry that isn't in our group is grayed out, but it still can get in the way. So there's a handy setting in the view dropdown menu, view, component edit, hide rest of model, where we can toggle off the rest of the model completely while we're working within a group. One downside to this setting is the inability to reference other points in our model. If I wanted to infer to a point, face, or edge outside of the group, I would need to toggle the setting back to show the rest of the model, view, component edit, hide rest of model. Because this is such a handy tool, it's a good idea to put it on its own shortcut. So I'll go to SketchUp, preferences, and if you're on a Windows machine, you're going to find preferences under the window dropdown menu, but if you're on a Mac, it's going to be under SketchUp,…
