Intersect Faces with Model

- [Instructor] This week I'm going to cover Intersect Faces, which is available on the shortcut menu. For example, if I right click on this dormer you'll see it down here. Before I get to using it, though, I want to examine this model. I'll hide the dormer temporarily and you'll see that the roof underneath it is continuous. And obviously that's not the real condition. And the reason for this is this model comes from my Modeling Exteriors from Photos course. So I created the 3D model from the outside and I made no effort to model the interior, but you can see if I go into x-ray mode, there's nothing inside. The dormer also is just a box that goes into the second floor there. So this is where the Intersect Faces feature can be handy. Also observe that there is no edges here between the roof planes and the dormer itself. That's because this is penetrating through that roof surface. And I can show you that if I hide the roof.
