Dividing lines

- [Instructor] To learn how to divide edges in SketchUp,…we're going to add some doors to this cabinet.…And instead of doing the math to figure out…how many equally sized doors can fit on this face,…we're going to use the divide tool.…So activate the select tool, spacebar,…and we're going to right-click…on either this bottom edge here or this top edge.…I'm going to go ahead and right-click on the bottom one…and then I'm going to choose divide.…Now you'll notice some red squares pop up…and as I move my cursor inward and outward,…there'll become more or less squares.…

I can also see a yellow back box up here.…This tells me how many segments I'll break that line into…if I click there and how long each segment will be.…So for this cabinet, I think I'd like four segments.…Four equally sized doors.…So I'm going to go ahead and click and release there.…Now I know it looks the same,…but as I click around a bit,…I can see that these are actually now…four different segments running around this area.…

So I'm going to use those new endpoints…
