- [George] Hi, I'm George Maestri, and today we're going to look at a way to create a simple time lapse effect. There are many times when you'll want to show the passage of light through a scene so you can understand how a building or a structure interacts with light during the day. Now, if we wanted to, we could just go to our Shadows window and just kind of fiddle with the time slider to see how that works, but if you really wanted to do that in something like a presentation, that might not be good enough, so let's use Styles, Shadows, and Scenes to set up a morning to late afternoon time lapse. Now, I have a Windows version of SketchUp here, so my Styles, Shadows, and Scenes windows are all in my default tray, but you can certainly float those on OSX or the Mac. Now, we're going to start off by creating some scenes here.
