Create a chain link fence

- Hi, I'm George Maestri and today I'm going to show you how to create a chain link fence using textures and opacity. Now here we have some simple poles, and I'm going to stretch that chain link fence between them. Now to do this, I'm actually going to use a texture. Now I have a file in the exercise files folder. It's called ChainLink.jpg, and it looks like this, and it's basically just chain link against a white background and it will tile so that way we can make it as big as we want. Now I'm going to actually open this in Photoshop and the reason I'm doing this is because this is a jpg. It does not have an alpha channel. Now, for this to work, we need to create a file that does have an alpha channel, and that alpha channel needs to create the opacity that we need. Now, the easiest way to do this is to have a file similar to this where it's all against a single color here. So I have this all against white, and really all I have to do is use a select tool here, called Color Range…
