- [Instructor] Before drawing a circle, it's important to note that a circle in SketchUp has no round edges. If I zoom in on a circle, I can see that the edges are simply smaller segments that appear in a way to create a curve. The more segments there are, the smoother the curve appears. So let's create some circles. To do that, we'll click on the circle icon here, which may be hiding behind the rectangle icon, so you may need to use the drop down menu to change it from rectangle to circle, or you can click the letter C on your keyboard as a shortcut. When I click the letter C, I can see in the measurements box in the lower right-hand side that there is a number of sides. It's going to be 24 by default. You have control over this, but for now, let's leave it at 24. Click and release to choose the starting point that will be the center of your circle and then click and release to choose the radius.
