Change colors on materials

- [Instructor] Hi I'm George Mastry and today we're going to look at materials and how to recolor them in SketchUp. I'm going to just go ahead and create a simple box here. I'm going to create a square box here. Let's just make it three feet by three feet. I'm going to go ahead and type that in. Then just pull that up another three feet. I just want a kind of a medium size box. I guess that depends on what you consider medium. Then I'm going to apply a material from one of our standard materials here. I'm going to go ahead and select metal and we should have this metal embossed material. I'm going to go ahead and select that and apply that to my box. Now, this is just a gray material but let's say we wanted this to be a different color. Well we can do that by editing this. I'm going to go ahead and eye dropper this material and go over to my edit tab. Now when I initially select this material it's going to have what's called a default color.
