Best practices with layers

- [Instructor] This week, I'm going to talk about best practices using layers. Every model starts with a Layer0 by default. You can't rename that or delete it. And if you try to turn it off, it'll tell you you can't do that. Layers also have a color and a linetype here in the latest version of SketchUp. The current layer is indicated by this pencil symbol over here. I'll create some new layers. I'll create a roof layer and floor1 and floor2. So right now these layers don't have anything on them. Everything in the model is currently on Layer0. Now I'd like to start changing that. So I'm going to select this top object which is on Layer0 and I'm going to reassign that to the roof layer. Now that I've done that, I can control its visibility by toggling this eye symbol here. Now I'd like to select all of the different objects on the second floor and there are, right now they're organized with different components and groups. And you see that there's separate chairs and desks and so on. So…
