Altering the kitchen walls
- [Instructor] In this video we're going to attend to the fact that we covered up the existing door opening with our new kitchen design. Open the Kitchen Four exercise file to follow along. At this point, the walls are all one object on the layer existing to remain. I think the clearest way to deal with this will be to separate this wall onto a separate object and then we can place that object on the layer Demolish. And then we'll create an additional wall on the new layer, and that way we'll be able to toggle on and off the different conditions. So let's double-click on this group to edit it. Notice that everything gets greyed out to indicate that you're inside of a group. But we can get even better access to this object by pressing N. This hides the rest of the model so that we're only looking at the geometry of the group that we're editing. Now to separate this wall out from the other walls, we need to have edges that will allow us to do that. So I'm going to zoom in here and press…
