Join Paul J. Smith for an in-depth discussion in this video Adding the water feature, part of SketchUp for Architecture.
- Chapter 6, 05.…Time to add the water feature.…That includes the pool of water…and the little bit of edging that goes around it.…So again, we got to draw a couple of rectangles…and a little bit of offsetting…and a bit of materials and that's that done.…So it shouldn't take us more than a couple of minutes.…So rectangle tool.…Also make sure you've got the landscaping layer selected.…So rectangle tool and come down and pick up the far corner.…So the largest rectangle, so outside edge to outside edge…and then come down and do the inside edge to inside edge.…
That creates two surfaces, the inner one and the outer one.…And then, we are going to push pull this down, first.…So with the push pull tool,…let's just push pull that down to the bottom edge, there.…So that's about 150 mil or six inches.…And then, we're going to offset this outside line in…by an inch or 25 mil.…So we use the offset tool.…And make sure you've got nothing selected…and then hover over this plane…and it'll highlight this edge or this edge…but we want this edge to be highlighted.…
