Adding the base

- [Instructor] In Chapter 403, we're going to be adding the base. So we're all set up. There's a couple of sectional elevations missing. We'll use those when we need them. We've also on the layers window, we have all the AutoCAD layers. So I can sort of highlight the various elements of these. I don't want to retain these layers, so what I'm going to do is click on doors, shift-click on base, then click on this delete layer. So that then throws up some options. Move contents to default layer. Move contents to current layer. Or delete the contents. So default layer is layer zero. So we can say okay to that. And we can't hide the current layer and we can't change the name of layer zero. So now that we've moved everything to layer zero, we can now create a new layer and call that base. Okay. Now highlight that so it's our current layer. Now what we're going to do is not explode any of this and use the existing geometry. That's a bad idea. Breaks it up into a thousand pieces, and there…
