- [Instructor] In the Shelf1 exercise file you'll see that I've created a skeleton for this particular dynamic component. And this skeleton contains all the different subcomponents and they all have Position and Size attributes created. But there are no formulas in here at all and so we need to flesh out these bones by adding formulas wherever possible. So let's begin with the Back element. Let's think about the Position in the red direction, X. So the Back is this piece right here and if we orbit around you'll see that the Back object seems to be over and we can measure this and see that it's over one inch. So that's where this one inch is coming from, it's equal to the thickness of this element here on the side. So looking at the front of the bookshelf, this is the LeftSide. And so what we should do here is say that this Position is equal to the thickness of the LeftSide, so I'm going to click on LenX under LeftSide and then SketchUp is going to fill in the text for me and I just…
