- [Instructor] Hi, I'm George Maestri and today is roof truss day. We're going to build some roof trusses for this little building. So let's go ahead and get started. Now if I open up my components window, I actually have a couple of components already out there. One is a two-by-six-by-eight, one is a two-by-four-by-eight. And so we're going to these standard components as the bases of our roof truss. So I'm going to start off on this end of the building. Now I'm going to build a gable roof so I need to make sure I understand where the center of the building is. Now I already know that this building is 10 feet wide exactly so I should be able to find the center at five feet. So I'm going to select my tape measure, go to the midpoint down here at the foundation and drag until it snaps to midpoint. It should be somewhere around five feet. There we go. And now I have center line. And let's go ahead and do the same for the top sill of that roof here. There we go. I know where the sill of…
