- [Instructor] Hi, I'm George Mastrey and today I'm going to show you how to make your life a little bit easier with templates. Now, you may be familiar with templates, but a lot of sketch abusers really don't use 'em that much. The extent of their use is that they select a template when they first start up SketchUp and they leave it at that. But templates can be actually very powerful if you do standard types of tasks. Now, before we get into customizing templates, I just want to show you where they live and how to work with them. So if we go into window, preferences, you'll see that under template, we have all sorts of different templates. Now I have, by default, my simple template which is feet and inches. Yours may be different. And this includes this color scheme, it includes this guy called Chris in the center of the scene, as well as a lot of other parameters.
