Color blend modes

In this video, we're going to take a look at the Color Blend Modes. So you'll notice that I've switched now to my color layer and I've hidden my gray-scale layer. So let's go to the very first Blend Mode for color, which is Hue. So Hue takes the hue value from the blend layer and projects that to the base layer. The luminance and saturation value of used from the base layer. So this mode does not affect the lightness or darkness of the image, but only the Hue value. So let's change the opacity and you can see the effect it has. So the next one we're going to take a look at is saturation. So saturation keeps the human luminosity from the base layer and uses the saturation value from the blend layer. Again, let's just change the opacity. Let's move to the next one, which is Color. So Color applies the Hue and Saturation, which are the basic components of Color, from the blend layer to the base layer. The base layer maintains its own value for luminosity. Okay?
