- [Voiceover] Hi my name is Chris Converse and welcome to Sketch for User Experience Design Teams. This short course provides an overview of the many plugins and services that allow you to integrate Sketch into your workflow. The Sketch landscape is growing very quickly and in all directions. The developer community has really embraced the open architecture of Sketch and the Sketch file format. At the time of this recording, there are over 320 extensions available for Sketch with more being released each week and these extensions include plugins and integration services that span a wide range of industries and disciplines including design, project management, web development, collaboration, interactive prototyping, animation and even integration with native application development platforms.
We'll be discussing three main ways you can start sharing content designed in Sketch. First we'll start by sharing your native Sketch files and templates. Then we'll explore exporting content for collaboration first with the pdf and the various applications that let you mark up and comment a pdf. Then exporting to jpg and png for inclusion into a vast number of applications as well as project management and collaboration tools. Then we'll talk about using Sketch files as a conduit to platforms that will allow you to collaborate with design and marketing teams, platforms that give you tools to create interactive animated prototypes and native application development environments for those working with application developers and finally we'll cover features and plugins that allow you to publish final content from Sketch and native Sketch files.
These features include exporting assets, generating CSS and SBG code as well using tools like gulp to generate assets directly from a Sketch file and with that, there's a lot of possibilities open to you and your design team. Now we've got a lot of ground to cover so let's get started.
