In this course, we're going to focus on optimizing images for the web. We'll explore most everything you need to know about web graphics including what type of graphics we can work with today. We'll talk about compression, generally lossy versus lossless and not get to crazy. The right image for the right situation. Trying to give you guidelines for what image to use where.
Vector versus Raster, which is super important these days. Image optimization tips, we'll take you into a few programs and just show you some things that you need to know. We'll talk about optimizing our images further because most of the programs don't optimize your images enough. We'll also take a look at retina images and what we can do to optimize them as well. So now that we know what we're going to cover. Let's jump in and start to optimize our web graphics.
These tutorials use programs like Photoshop, Illustrator, and Sketch, but the tips apply equally well to any other graphics software.
