Table actions

- [Instructor] While tables allow the user to view structured data in a meaningful way, table actions help provide options for users to take action on that data. Table-level actions can include search, filtering, batch actions, row actions, editing, and creating. If the table has simple read-only data, you may not need table actions. Search, when used in a table, typically behaves more like a live filter on the data. Filtering narrows the results in the table. In addition to search, adding more filters gives users control over the display of the information to make it as meaningful and as actionable as possible. Filters are defined according to the use case, but filters can include date ranges and the ability to include or exclude specific fields. Filters are usually located on the top of the table, either across the top or activated with the filter icon to display a dropdown with options. For example, this table from IBM…
