(upbeat music) - Remember that any time you cut scope, you run into some risks. The key is to be rigorous enough that you can trust your results. That balance is going to be different for every effort, so think about the core goal of your research, and what will impact that most. You don't want to cut too much, where it matters. (scissors snip) For instance, let's say you're assessing a simple interface for a really specific type of user. Let's say, hardcore coffee fans. - Do I like coffee? No, I (beep)ing love it. - You may not have an easy way to find those people with guerrilla recruiting, so you choose to cut by showing a simple prototype, and having fewer sessions. On the other hand, let's say you're trying to pick between a few complicated interactions, but the target user base is broader, say anyone who likes coffee. - Coffee? I'll have it if it's there. - You could choose to intercept them in public, but focus your time on making really high-fidelity prototypes. There isn't an…
