- [Instructor] Hi, my name is Chris Converse and I'd like to welcome you to this course where we'll be learning the basics of Sketch. Sketch is a design and layout tool that continues to gain popularity in the design community. This Mac-only design tool is being used to design everything from logos and brand identity to mobile application interfaces, all the way to full fledge responsive web design. In this course we'll be creating two layouts for a responsive website as well as two screens for an accompanying mobile app. During our design process we'll be creating varying sized art boards, sharing styles across text and objects, drawing vector artwork using symbols, and then sharing our designs with colleagues and clients anywhere in the world.
And then we'll quickly make the necessary design changes based on that feedback. And we'll end our project by defining and exporting ready-to-use graphics that we can hand off to a development team. The exercise files for this course are available to all members, so download your files and let's start learning the basics of Sketch.
