So, you just made a sketch of an icon you want to make a digital piece. How do you get the image into Sketch? The app makes this super simple. From dragging and dropping, to importing, to editing the image in Sketch, to darkening the lines, they have you covered.
- [Instructor] We'll return to our icon board…later in the course.…In the meantime, I've brought in a sketch of the bear…from our California flag.…This flag harkens back to when California…was not part of the United States…and was its own independent republic.…We'll be using our bear in a map pinpoint icon…that we'll be creating.…When adding a pencil sketch to Sketch,…it's wise to make sure to get a good clean image…without shadows.…If you don't have a good clean scan of your image,…you can adjust the lighting of the image…with the color adjust tool.…
Let's go ahead and select that scan,…go to Color Adjust, turn it on,…and we'll go ahead and adjust…our brightness and contrast here.…So we'll just move up our brightness just a bit…to get rid of some of that shadow…and then we'll also add some more contrast…to darken our lines…and you don't want to go too far…'cause like see if you go too far,…you start to lose some of the image.…So let's go ahead and bring that back…and just make sure that we're just darkening the lines…
