- [Instructor] Navigation patterns for web applications are designed with the same principles as consumer experiences, but taking on account the information dense environment of a web application. Web applications can have discrete applications that are focused on specific tasks within a larger ecosystem. So navigating between applications should be clear to the user. When designing for an application within other applications in an ecosystem, we want to take into consideration how the navigation will be set up and provide a unified navigation experience across the application. Let's take a look at a web application style navigation bar from a high level. I've organized it into two areas, application and global. The left-hand side is for the current application whereas the right-hand side is for global actions. Let's use a task application for this example.
