- [Instructor] When you open Sketch,…open a new file.…Go ahead and click A on your keyboard…and you'll see that we have an option…of several different art board sizes,…as well as a dropdown for Apple Devices,…Material Design, Responsive Web,…Paper Sizes and Custom.…Now for us, because we're creating an icon,…we're going to go ahead and choose Custom.…And you see we have the cross hairs here…to go ahead and make our own art board size.…
So we can drag and drop it out…or what might be easier is to…go over to our Properties Window…and let's make our width 110.…And our height 140.…And voila, we have our own custom art board.…Now some other things to note here…is we can change the orientation to landscape…or keep it at portrait.…We can change our art board straight from here…and go, say we want to do something with Material Design,…we want to do Mobile, we can just go ahead…and go straight to that art board and change it.…
Let's go ahead and undo that.…Command + Z.…And then we can change our background color…from here as well.…
