Defining information architecture

- [Instructor] Information architecture is the foundation of how our experience will be organized. We can make some guesses about how to organize our site but we'll want to understand how different users think our experience should be organized. Before we do anything we'll need to interview pet owners. We want to find out what types of content our users expect to see on a site catering to pet health. And from there, we're going to want to develop some key personas for users of the site. Let's say that we did interview some users, and based on the interviews a couple of personas emerged. The first is a dog owner, Jane, and her dog has a few health issues. So she wants to use the site to make sure that the symptoms her dog experiences aren't serious. The second is a cat owner, John, and he wants to use the site to get nutritional tips and insight into cat behavior.
