Choosing your guerrilla landscape
(upbeat music) - You have to be especially careful if you choose to go out in the wild to recruit research participants. Remember intercepting is best for when you already know your users and you're not going to be discussing blush worthy topics. But there are some other things that can help you get the most out of your guerrilla style recruiting. Make sure you pick your location carefully, you want to choose a time and a spot that has a high likelihood that your target users will already be there. A steakhouse? Not so good for vegans. A coffee shop at nine am? Great for caffeine addicts. You'll want to find a place that will be okay with you setting up shop for awhile and interrupting their patrons. Pro tip, if you want to set up in a business, consider buying something from them to offer to participants. Also, think about your set-up and if it will be comfortable for you and the participants.
