- [Jenny] Hi, my name is Jenny Amaya and I'd like to welcome you to Sibelius Ultimate 2019 Essential Training: Beyond the Basics. This course is a continuation of the Basic Course using the Sibelius Ultimate application. It will help you improve your current skills while introducing you to new, helpful and exciting features. I call the first part of this course review plus new. We'll focus on things you already know how to do and we'll expand upon them. We'll head deeper into note input, chord symbols, lyrics, text and playback capabilities with the ultimate goal of being able to produce a quality lead sheet. In the second half of the course, we'll dive deeper into multiple voices and other score objects. We'll get a better handle on all of Sibelius's shortcuts. I'll take you into the depths of instrument definitions and drum mapping and notation and I'll introduce you to the worksheet creator where we'll find existing pieces of music that we will spend the last portion of the course transforming into something of our own. We'll finish with a bit more information about layout and formatting including a brief introduction to working with the parts in your score. We're going to cover a wide variety of a lot of material but it should be a lot of fun so let's get started. (bright music)
