System selections and deleting bars
- [Instructor] Sibelius provides another type of selection that is very different from the blue edit selections you've been working with throughout this chapter. We call this additional type of selection a system selection and it's most easily identified by its color, purple. The shortcut modifier that allows you to make system selections is command on Mac or control on Windows. You can use your mouse along with the shortcut modifier to create a system selection. I'm going to go ahead and zoom out just a tiny bit more and escape so that nothing is selected in the score. Hold down the command or control key before clicking and then click on a bar within the staff lines but not on top of any objects. Sibelius creates a purple system selection that extends vertically across the entire system.
