- [Instructor] When you glance into the transformations group in the note input tab, there are two obvious features available to you: retrograde and invert. We're going to discuss those options now so that you can use them in your project if you'd like to. Let's start with the retrograde options in the retrograde dropdown menu. A melody in retrograde motion proceeds from the last note to the first. In other words, the musical line is notated backward in comparison to its original statement. So if you make a selection of just two pitches in your score, for example from F to E flat. (piano note) Let me zoom in on that for you. And then ask Sibelius to retrograde those pitches. Retrograde pitches. Then the resulting notation will be the opposite order of pitches where E flat will be followed by F. You can do this with larger groups of notes as well. Let's try a group of four notes. Maybe this group here. C, B flat…
